Car Free MSP Regional Celebration 2024
Join us on Sunday, September 22nd from 12 to 3 pm at Minnehaha Park’s Wabun Picnic Area for a Car-Free celebration with food, games, and lots of fun!
Join a group ride to get there!
Joyful Riders Club will be leading a group bike ride to the celebration on 9/22 at 11:30 from Jimmy Lee Recreation Center
Recovery Bike Shop will be leading a group bike ride to the celebration on 9/22 at 11:30 from Gold Medal Park
The Southside Greenway will be leading a group bike ride to the celebration on 9/22 at 1pm from Venture Bikes & Coffee on the Midtown Greenway
The Sierra Club will be leading a group transit ride on the A-line that runs down Snelling in St. Paul.

Penn Fest
Richfield Penn Fest closes Penn Ave to cars from 62nd to 76th street and opens the street for pedestrians, cyclists, and skateboarders. Click here to learn more.
Downtown Thursday
Downtown Thursday is in full swing on Nicollet Mall with food trucks, musical performances, games, giveaways, and demos from 11:30 am-1:30 pm on Thursdays. Buses are re-routed off Nicollet to Hennepin and Marquette to create a full pedestrian experience (check "Alerts" for your route on metrotransit.org to find transit detour information).
On Thursday, August 29, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. visit Veo and Move Minneapolis on Nicollet between 6th and 7th streets. VEO will provide FREE helmets and test rides of their scooters and e-bikes.
Stop by the Move Minneapolis tent and take the Car-Free MSP pledge to try a sustainable mode in September and get a chance to win an e-bike!
